ABOUT MARK MESLER
Most investors understand hard technology from the outside.
Mark Mesler has spent his career building inside it—helping companies scale complex technologies in industries where operational discipline, capital strategy, and long-term execution matter.
Advanced Manufacturing | Semiconductor Capital Equipment
KLA-Tencor
One of the most operationally rigorous companies in semiconductor capital equipment.
Mark spent nearly six years leading business unit and global FP&A and accounting functions, gaining firsthand experience in the operational discipline required to scale complex technology businesses. During that time, he learned how world-class companies bring new products to market, manage global operations, and execute consistently at scale.
New Energy | Fuel Cells
Bloom Energy
Fuel cells were hard long before they were commercially viable.
Over more than a decade at Bloom Energy, Mark helped guide the company from emerging technology through large-scale commercialization and ultimately to its public listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2018. During that period, he helped lead more than $1 billion of equity and debt financings as the company helped establish an entirely new energy category.
Autonomous Systems | Drone Logistics
Volansi
Mark served as CFO at Volansi, a pioneer in autonomous drone logistics. Operating at the intersection of aviation, autonomy, and logistics, the company was developing new ways to move critical cargo in environments where traditional transportation solutions were impractical. The experience reinforced many of the themes that would later reappear in electric aviation and defense technology: regulatory complexity, operational execution, and the challenge of commercializing frontier technologies.
Aerospace | Electric Aviation
Archer Aviation
Mark joined Archer shortly after its public listing and helped build the operational and financial infrastructure required of a newly public company operating in advanced aviation.
Bloomberg featured that chapter in its Chief Future Officer series hosted by Ed Ludlow.
Space Infrastructure | Satellite Communications
Astranis Space Technologies
Most recently, Mark served as CFO of Astranis Space Technologies, supporting the commercialization of next-generation satellite infrastructure for sovereign governments and defense customers. The company is helping expand access to communications infrastructure in some of space's most challenging operating environments.
The Common Thread
Across semiconductor capital equipment, fuel cells, advanced aviation, and satellite communications, Mark has spent his career in industries where:
The technology is difficult.
Markets take time to develop.
Capital must be deployed thoughtfully.
Scale must be built deliberately.
These experiences form the foundation of TrueForge Capital.
